Since its establishment in 1996 by the Bilgi Foundation for Education and Culture, Istanbul Bilgi University has been one of Turkey's most prestigious universities. Bilgi University encourages students to learn to improve themselves and their communities.

Bilgi University’s headquarter is located in the European side of Istanbul, Central Istanbul- Sultan Eyup. Bilgi University has 3 other campuses, one in Kuştepe şişli, the second in Kozyatağı- Kadıköy, and the other in Dolapdere- Beyoglu.

• The student can complete his registration and study the language preparatory courses outside the university.
• At this university, there is no preparation year for Turkish.
• To study the specializations in Turkish, you must first pass the B2 level in Turkish.
• If a student speaks Turkish but does not have a language certificate, he might enroll at the university with a letter proving his proficiency in Turkish.
