Altnbaş University was established in 2008 and started its educational operations in 2011.

The old name of the university was Istanbul kemerburgaz, but it was renamed Altnbaş University by Mohammed Altnbaş University Foundation for Education and Culture in 2017. The University's mission is to deliver high-quality educational services while simultaneously supporting new academic researchers and preserving global values.

Altınbaş University’s headquarter is located in the European side of Istanbul, Mahmutbey- Bağcılar. Altınbaş University has two other campuses, one in Bakirkoy, and the other in Gayrettepe, all of them on the European side of Istanbul.

The following documents are required for registration at Altınbaş University: A high school certificate and transcript (translated into Turkish), a  translated photocopy of the passport, ID Photos, a Language certificate (if any).

SAT and YOS exams are not required.
